Inspired By Their First Date, Woman Uses 10.000+ Candy Wrappers And 4 Years To Make This Dress!

A woman named Emily Seilhamer decided to create this dress with candy wrappers. Of course she didn't do it just to do it, there's a story behind it. She got inspired from the day she met her husband. This beautiful and colorful dress took a long time to finish but it seems it was worth every second!

Meet Emily Seilhamer!

She has been saving Starburst wrappers diligently for 4 years.

With the help of friends and family of course.

After enough were saved I organized them into colors, ironed them, folded them into links, and made candy wrapper chains.

With the use of elastic thread, she was able to sew the links together into a “fabric”.

Of course there is a story behind this project.

When she met her husband, he offered her a pack of Starburst

And then she had an idea to start this project.

As his favorite candy he began to save grocery bags full of wrappers for her.

The dress had a nice spot next to the gift table at our wedding almost 2 years ago!

We love it! 😍👏
