Instead of buying expensive refills, use a fluffy sock over your floor cleaner and easily clean up!

3. Forget about remembering to pick up jewelry cleaner at the store

Pour some peroxide into a bowl and drop in your rings – no costume jewelry, of course!

Rub a lemon to remove hard water stains from the shower, rinse it and voila!

5. When your garbage disposal smells even worse than the garbage itself

Here are the two actions you can take about it; toss those used lemons down your garbage disposal or lay some old newspapers in the bottom of it and drop some bleach on them.

6. Here is a solution for the dirty microwave

You can toss your lemon remains in a bowl of water and lemon juice for 5 minutes in the microwave to loosen up the crusties inside, making your microwave easier to clean.

7. Bring your towels back to life

The next time you have a load of towels ready for the washing machine, skip the detergent and pour in one cup of vinegar instead, then wash with hot water.

Then you're going to have to run your towels again, this time with half a cup of baking soda. Wash them in hot water, dry as usual, and they'll come out almost like new!

Just pay attention to not mix the baking soda and vinegar and make sure the water is hot.

8. Sanitize your sponges

Not dirty enough to throw out after each dishwashing session but still have doubts about the hygiene of that sponge?  Freshen up and kill bacteria by popping it in the microwave while soaked, for two minutes.

9. No one told you about cleaning dusty lamp shades?

A lint roller is an effective way to remove dust off of fabric lamp shades.

10. Having less and less water while showering is a thing!

The problem might be the lime in the water. Tie a ziplock bag filled with vinegar on your shower head overnight to get rid of buildup.

11. There is a solution for tough cooking grease as well

Especially the dishes coming out of the oven can be challenging. Try scrubbing with aluminum foil and soap to take the grease off.

Clear a clogged sink by sprinkling baking soda and vinegar down the drain. It is also a more eco-friendly way of dealing with it.

13. Simple way to brighten cast iron pans

It's so important to take care of cast iron skillets. Fortunately, this hack makes that easy-peasy! Cut a potato in half, liberally sprinkle salt into your cast iron, and use the potato to scrub and clean it.

14. Lastly, you said scratched wooden furniture?

You can use 1/4 cup of vinegar and 3/4 cup of olive oil to remove scratches from wooden furniture.
