8 Movie Stars Who Keep On Survivin' By Their Looks Rather Than Their Acting Skills!

If you want you make our way into Hollywood, you better be good looking. Yes, that sounds cliche, and everyone is very well aware that being beautiful is part of the business, but sometimes even producers and directors seem to prefer looks over talent. Not that they’re awful or anything, but maybe, just maybe, some actors are overrated. Here are 8 of them according to Nicki Swift.

1. Megan Fox

She is always, like ALWAYS the sexy girl in all of her movies. Not that she can't act at all, but it's like she was kind of just "there" in the first two Michael Bay "Transformers" movies and in  "Jennifer's Body".

But she has reasons. Two of them, actually.

First, she says Bay is like Hitler.
“He’s like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him.” she said.

And the second reason is, well apparently she wasn't very well suited for dramas, so she had to come to terms with Bay in the end.

We're really not sure if her beauty is a gift or curse for her.

2. Dianna Agron

At first she wasn't great on Glee, and you all know it...

And her voice was criticized heavily as well.

But in time, she improved her acting skills and surprised everybody.

Btw, who could forget the Sam Smith's "I Know I'm Not The Only One" disaster...

Not the song itself, of course, Dianna was acting in it and people didn't really liked her performance in such an emotional song's video clip.

3. Scott Eastwood

Yes, Clint Eastwood's son.

We've seen him in the video clip of Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dream"

It was a nightmare scenario for Scott Eastwood's agents. The actor later revealed that his reps advised against appearing in the music video. "None of my agents wanted me to do it, actually," the 30-year-old told.

'They said, "Oh, we don't want you to do that! Why would you be Taylor Swift's boy toy?"

Yeah, why?

4. Blake Lively

She landed zillions of magazine covers for her "aspirational" style and beauty, which is great. Now all she has to do is find a hit movie. Aside from her small role in The Town (2010), her big screen performances have been as poor in the box office as they were onscreen, and yet she still has projects in the pipeline.

Are the only things preserving her fame her plastic surgeon and hair stylist? We don't know.

5. Katy Perry

Yes, she's not an actor, but people have been accusing her of getting her fame only by her looks. There are even videos circulating around which allegedly reveal her isolated vocals.

6. Jessica Alba

To be honest, she has never had a truly challenging role, and that's for a reason. Her stunted line delivery in movies like Fantastic Four (2005) and Sin City (2005) sent more "serious" producers and casting agents running for the hills in search of someone—anyone—who could manage to be beautiful and talented at the same time.

Still, not everyone cares: she's worked steadily for a decade since.

7. Halle Berry

Yes, Halle Berry has an Oscar for her moving performance in Monster's Ball (2001). Unfortunately, since then her work has been getting a little worse.

But she's still Halle Berry, and we forgive her.

8. Jessica Biel

Like Megan Fox, she is usually cast as "the hot chick," but with an occasional athletic twist. Her most notable role was a decade ago in The Illusionist (2006).

But she's very well aware of the criticism.

'I'm not looking for the sexiest woman; I'm looking for the girl next door. Parts I really want aren't going to me, like The Other Boleyn Girl  (2008) with Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman." she told.
