Drake's October's Very Own brand, more often known as 'OVO,' will appear on NBA G League Ignite's jerseys after being named as the team's official patch marketing collaborator.
The branding marks the G League team's first practice jersey patch marketing partnership.
The OVO® logo will bet displayed on the right chest of the side's practice jerseys as part of the agreement.
OVO will also be displayed through the use of on-curt branding at The Dollar Loan Center arena in Las Vegas.
It has also been announced that Ignite and its new branding partner will produce as series of videos that will place some of the team's players at center-stage.
The lower division team, which says it is 'dedicated to developing the world's top young players for the NBA Draft,' made the big announcement of its branding deal on Twitter yesterday.
A short video clip posted to its account saw the players of the team appear in the new branded jerseys at the Dollar Loan Center.
'(OVO)@welcomeOVO has partnered with the NBA G League Ignite Basketball Program,' it announced in the tweet.
'Ignite is the first-of-its kind program that has changed the journey for elite high school prospects that dream of playing in the NBA,' it added.
The G League team's next game comes on November 12th, when Ignite will take on the Santa Cruz Warriors at The Dollar Loan Center.
Tip-off is at 10 pm E.T and it the tie is set to be streamed live on the NBA app and the NBA G League website (NBAGLeague.com).
The arrival of the partnership between OVO® and Ignite won't be the first time that the brand's logo will be displayed on a team's jersey in recent times.
Last month, the OVO® logo adorned the shirts of the famous Catalan soccer team, FC Barcelona.
The appearance of the brand was due to the club's official sponsor 'Spotify,' rewarding Drake as the first artist to surpass 50 billion streams by users of the music streaming platform.
The OVO® logo replaced the Spotify logo at the center of the Barca shirt for one major occasion in celebration of Drake's success.
The game happened to be one of Barcelona's biggest so far of this season, an El Clásico derby away to arch-rivals Real Madrid.
Unfortunately for Barca, they were defeated at the Santiago Bernabeau stadium by three goals to one by Real Madrid on the day.
