Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, is currently one of the most visited tourist destinations. This ancient city, boasting a grand architecture influenced by Greek and Roman styles, was a commercial hub due to its strategic location on the ancient Silk Road. Petra is nestled between the Dead Sea in the south of Jordan and the Gulf of Aqaba. However, this region can occasionally experience heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding.
