The Witcher 3 now has a First-Person Mod
After 9 years, The Witcher 3 still retains its spot as one of the most popular role-playing games on the market. Up to this day, the game’s modding community is still as strong as ever, releasing new mods for players to download, and making the game even better when it was at its peak. Mod creator crthdr has developed an interesting mod that allows you to change the default third-person view to a first-person view, drastically changing the overall experience of the game.
All of the game's cool features, such as combating on horseback, using various Witcher spells like Aard, and freely exploring the open world, can now be enjoyed in first-person mode. The camera view, however, is not the only thing that has changed. A lot of features have been altered such as knockdowns being changed, locking onto enemies being disabled, and rolls changing to jumps. This will allow players to try a completely new combat experience.
According to the mod creator, cutscenes will also be in first-person perspective, further altering the overall experience of the popular RPG. With the new mod adding changes to the game, there are also some drawbacks to be encountered. Since the mod allows you to switch perspectives at will, the combat animations also become distorted. Nonetheless, it is still a cool and fun mod worth trying if players want a completely new Witcher experience.
