Lady Gaga shared news about her 5th studio album, Joanne. This album, which will be released on the 21th of October, is dedicated to the artist's aunt, Joanne Germanotta, who died in 1974.
Joanne, which is also Lady Gaga's middle name, is expected to be pretty personal. Lady Gaga said that although she has never seen her aunt, she feels really close to her and that she believes that she is the reincarnation of her. All of this signals that this album will be one of the most special of her works.
Lady Gaga, who announced her new album in Zane Lowe's radio show in Beats 1, also added that her album would not be released on a specific kind of music platform. She also went on to state that If her record company makes any deals with Apple Music or Tidal, she, herself, will leak her own song in the internet. There are 11 songs in this album.
In the deluxe version of her album, however, there will be 14 songs. Singer and songwriter Hillary Lindsey, with whose work we are familiar through Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, also makes contributions in Lady Gaga's album. And yes, there is a song with the title 'Joanne'.
