Sneak Peek: Upcoming Valorant UX/UI Improvements Are Looking Good
Riot’s popular (and successful) free-to-play, team-based first-person shooter has been out of beta for more than two years already, and its relative success can be attributed to the game’s amazing visuals and gameplay—think of CS: GO but with the addition of unique skills per agent or character.
Moreover, the game has also received significant updates during this time, such as additional maps to play on (and the unfortunate removal of one), new agents (and another one coming just around the corner), and tons of new skins and cosmetic enhancements.
Luckily, there’s also another amazing (hopefully) update coming to the game—and no, we’re not talking about the much-awaited new controller character joining the other agents, although that’s surely going to be an amazing one as well. The upcoming big update will come with drastic improvements to Valorant’s UX and UI visuals.
According to the American video game developer and publisher based on the official announcement from Valorant’s official Twitter account, the promising new visual updates were thanks to the hard work of the company’s UX, UI, Engineering, and QA teams. You can view the official account’s announcement Tweet below.
As you can see with some of the snippets that came with the announcement, Riot’s teams did a really good job (so far, at least). The announcement also mentioned that this massive visual upgrade will come alongside the upcoming Patch 5.08. However, the tweet did not include any specific date or period when the aforementioned patch will start rolling out. The only thing we know is that the visual update will be released along with it.
If you’re asking, “Why the sudden visual update?” Well, your guess is as good as ours. However, Riot hinted in their official announcement post that the update won’t happen just for the sake of it. The company stated that “[they] are preparing for the future of VALORANT, including new features [they] can’t wait to talk about when the time is right.”
This is, of course, excellent news for Valorant fans and players out there, as these new features seem promising the way they were hinted at by the post. Are you liking the previews so far? Do you feel excited about the upcoming change to visuals as well?
