How to Delete an Instagram Account?

Open the Instagram app on your device and log in to your account.
Go to your profile page by tapping the icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Tap the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of the screen to access the menu.
Select the 'Settings' option from the menu.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap 'Privacy and Security.'
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap 'Deactivate Your Account.'
Follow the prompts to confirm that you want to deactivate your account.
Please note that once you deactivate your account, all of your photos, comments, and likes will be permanently deleted. If you decide you want to reactivate your account in the future, you'll need to log in with the same username and password you used before.

Does the Account Close Immediately When You Delete your Instagram Account?
When the account deletion process is performed via the Instagram, there is a 28-day period for the account to be deleted. If you change your mind and log in to your Instagram account with your username and password within 28 days, your request for account deletion will be canceled and you can continue to actively use your account. If you do not log in to your Instagram account for 28 days, your account will be permanently deleted.
