One of the craziest drops you will ever see, Butterfly Valley is best visited by boat, where you can enjoy the beautiful white beach. If you hire a car or a motorbike, you can drive to the viewpoint overlooking the valley. It's about a 15-minute drive from the town of Oludeniz.

Paragliding is a must in Fethiye. Many companies operating out of the town of Oludeniz offer tandem paragliding experiences. After the briefing, you will be taken to the top of Babadag Mountain at 1960 metres, which is about a 40-minute drive to the top. You will meet your instructor, who will ask you if you want to do any tricks or just enjoy the incredible views of Oludeniz and Butterfly Valley. This will surely be an out-of-this-world experience!

Fethiye Old Town is a cute little shopping area, including the famous Umbrella Street and the Fish Market where you can pick your fish and have it prepared by a restaurant in the market. The town of Oludeniz is about a 20-minute drive from Fethiye. It has a great boulevard, a long beach perfect for sunbathing and the best fake brand shops. Great for adding to your Nike or Adidas collection back home :-) The quality and price of these shoes will blow your mind.

Saklikent Gorge

Saklikent Gorge

Saklikent Gorge is a 300-metre-high and 18-kilometre-long canyon, one of the deepest in the world. Its name means 'hidden city'. You don't have to walk all 18 kilometers; a short walk is enough to see some highlights.

Remember to take your waterproof camera as you will be walking through water. The water level changes throughout the day and can easily reach your knees. The water is super clear and cold as it is meltwater from the mountains.

Lycian rock tombs

Lycian rock tombs

These tombs are dug into the rock and can be seen from all over Fethiye town. Getting there is easy, just go to The Kings Garden restaurant. Across the road is the entrance. You have to climb 200 steps to get a closer look. You will be rewarded with a tomb entrance of impressive size and a beautiful view of the town.
