Jason Momoa’s wife, Lisa Michelle Bonet, was born on November 16, 1967 in San Francisco, California. Her mother was a teacher and his father was an opera singer. Bonet has five half-sisters and two-half brothers due to his father’s marriage to another woman.

When Lisa was a child and was only starting her career, she frequented beauty competitions and appeared in guest spots and cameos on various television series. After those minor roles, she played the role of Denise Huxtable on The Cosby Show. She took a short break from the series and starred in a spin-off series A Different World. She also landed the main role in the 1987 movie Angel Heart.

Bonet was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for her role in The Cosby Show. However, Bonet got pregnant and left A Different World. She returned to The Cosby Show after giving birth but was ultimately fired in 1991, citing “creative differences” as the main cause.

Her most recent film, Road to Paloma, was released in 2013 and she has not had any films since then. In 2014 to 2015, she had a recurring role in the American drama TV series The Red Road, which featured her and her future husband at the time, Jason Momoa.

In 1987, Lisa Bonet married American rock singer Lenny Kravitz in Las Vegas. Their relationship is based on how similar their lives were. The two had a daughter, Zoë Isabella Kravitz, who was born on December 1, 1988. Six years after their marriage, Bonet and Kravitz divorced in 1993.
