The Secret Island Where Ultra-Rich People Are Changing Their Genes for Immortality
The ultra-rich have privileges that most of us can only dream of—private jets, exclusive destinations, and unimaginable luxuries. But did you know that some of the world’s wealthiest people are seeking immortality through gene therapy on a secret island? 🧬🌴
In the Caribbean, far from the public eye, wealthy elites are turning to experimental gene treatments in hopes of living forever. Curious about how they’re doing it? Read on to uncover the shocking details! 👇
This is Roatan Island, located in the Caribbean.

This island, situated off the northern coast of Honduras, is distinguished by its city, Prospera, which is built around health tourism. The most important feature that sets Roatan Island apart from other islands is the city of Prospera, where some experimental gene therapies that are banned in the United States are performed. The official currency of this city is Bitcoin, and ultra-wealthy individuals are flocking there. Entrepreneur Erick Brimen began working on establishing the city of Prospera on Roatan Island in 2017. By 2024, the city had around 200 companies. The primary reason for this is that, while businesses in the U.S. are taxed at a rate of 21% on their gross income, in Prospera, this rate is only 1%. Consequently, Prospera has become a paradise where ultra-wealthy individuals can avoid paying taxes, and the number of companies continues to grow.
For $25,000, youth genes are transferred.

One of the clinics located on Roatan Island, Minicircle, offers a therapy called 'follistatin gene therapy.' This therapy, which is considered illegal in the U.S., involves injecting DNA molecules into individuals to encourage their bodies to repair themselves. The effects of this therapy are claimed to last one or two years, and the therapy costs $25,000. Follistatin is a protein that helps regulate metabolism, promotes muscle growth and development, regulates bone health, and plays a role in the regulation of various body functions, including the reproductive system. The therapy is claimed to 'increase lean body mass, reduce fat, reduce inflammation, extend telomeres, and significantly reverse epigenetic aging.' Whether the therapy is effective is tested using an 'aging test' developed by the same company. In 2024, it was claimed that the aging rate of a person who received this treatment had dropped to 0.64, meaning that, compared to someone who ages in 12 months, they would age in 19 months instead. However, it's worth noting that this therapy has only completed Phase I clinical trials, meaning the necessary studies for legal approval are still lacking.
Investments are steadily increasing.

In Brimen’s investment plan, the city was expected to have 38,000 residents by 2030. By 2025, foreign investments were projected to exceed $500 million. The appeal of Prospera Island continues to grow. Luxury health tourism practices are attracting attention from all over the world. However, the local people living on the island are highly disturbed by these practices. They say that the wealthy who come to their city benefit from their resources but do not contribute to the island's economy because they are a closed community.
