Did Spider-Man: No Way Home manage to crack the top? It was surprisingly close! Only five films have managed the feat of gaining over $2 Billion at the box office, and Spider-Man has yet to cross over to that threshold (though it’s not too late). Here are the films that made it past that coveted mark.

5. ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

Box office gross: $2,048,359,754

At the time, Avengers: Infinity War was the highest-grossing of the Marvel films, culminating everyone and everything that had come before it in the series (similar to The Avengers initially hit theaters). However, Disney’s revival of the Star Wars franchise always had Infinity War beat.

4. ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

Box office gross: $2,068,223,624

Disney topped itself in 2015, making the third film to ever cross the $2 Billion box office mark.

3. ‘Titanic’

Box office gross: $2,187,425,379

From 1997 onward, this was the over $2 Billion film, which at the time was a completely unheard-of feat. Jurassic Park and the soon-to-release Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King were the only films even remotely close, hovering around a box office of $1 Billion.

2. ‘Avengers: Endgame’

Box office gross: $2,797,501,328

Disney’s ultimate Marvel culmination made their highest-grossing film, beating Infinity War after two weekends of release and surpassing even Avatar for almost two years.

1. ‘Avatar’

Box office gross: $2,847,246,203

Though it came out before Avengers: Endgame, Avatar retook the #1 spot after a re-release pushed it back over the edge.

With an Avatar sequel coming out soon, we might see these numbers shifting again!
