These series hold massive respect for their genre, from The Boys, Loki, Invincible, Stargirl, Doom Patrol, and WandaVision. They give all the reasons to adore superheroes and their acts. 

For several years now, HBO max, Prime Video, and other streaming platforms have delivered such films in the best way possible. 

Below are our top superhero TV show picks to binge-watch this summer!

1. The Boys

After launching in 2019, The Boys shocked the superhero society with its outstanding positive reviews and critics. As per rotten tomatoes, the film garnered an 85% average audience score for its first season, with its second and third seasons taking 97%. Additionally, The Boys managed a whopping 8.7/10-star rating on IMDb. 

The three-installment series generally follows an infamous squad of vigilantes as they face superheroes who abuse their powers. It’s grounded on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic novel of the same title. 

It stars Claudia Doumit, Colby Minifie, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher, Dominique McElligott, Erin Moriarty, and Jack Quaid.

Loki is emerging as the most excellent MCU series ever to exist. Its episodes are humorous, with clever storytelling, a passion for unpredictability, and big twists. Loki is one of the most significant superhero pieces to be directed by a woman. 

The film garnered an outstanding 9.2/10-star rating on IMDb and a 91% average audience score on rotten tomatoes. Due to the great reviews and critics, Loki was adapted for season two. 

The six-episode series stars Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, and Tom Hiddleston, among other talented icons. Michael Waldron created the series.

3. Superman & Lois

This show marks the newest Arrowverse project. Descending from Supergirl, Superman & Lois is currently filming its season two. This series best presents family drama, with Lois and Clark nurturing their teenage sons while doing their superhero duties. 

Many episodes received positive reviews and critics with a 7.8/10-star rating on IMDb and 86% on rotten tomatoes. With these high scores, the film was renewed for a second installment. Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti are the series’ creators, with Jordan Elsass, Elizabeth Tulloch, and Tyler Hoechlin starring, among other characters.

4. Pennyworth

The series follows Alfred, a beloved character, during his time as the Wayne family butler and a soldier. Pennyworth initially launched on Epix before shifting to HBO Max for its third installment. It was well-received for its outstanding set-pieces, spy-tale adventures, and thrilling nature. 

Per rotten tomatoes, Pennyworth managed an average audience score of 94% for its first and 79% for its second seasons. It also garnered a 7.9/10-star rating on IMDb.

Your main cast for the show includes Ryan Fletcher, Hainsley L. Bennett, Paloma Faith, Ben Aldridge, and Jack Bannon. Danny Cannon and Bruno Heller are the chief producers.

5. Stargirl

After making it to the long list of superhero series in 2022, fans warmly embraced Stargirl for its solid characters and good storytelling. The great reviews pushed it to its second installment in 2021, subtitled ‘Summer School.’ 

Fans also applauded the series’ hopeful feel, accessibility for the entire family, and intelligent writing. Stargirl is packed with comic novel backstories, presenting features from several decades of DC’s history. 

The characters also received excellent reviews offering an opportunity for more teen superhero films in the future. Stargirl has a 7.1/10-star rating on IMDb and 94% on rotten tomatoes.

6. WandaVision

In early 2021, WandaVision began the MCU’s phase four TV shows on Disney+. After keeping the fans on guess every week, the outcome was a significantly infamous Marvel Studios’ new entry. 

Viewers applauded WandaVision’s tributes to the revolution of TV, the thrilling mystery, and the unique creativity. Kathryn Hahn, Randall Park, Kat Dennings, Teyonah Parris, Paul Bettany, and Elizabeth Olsen also received positive reviews for their excellent performances.

WandaVision has a whopping 91% audience review of rotten tomatoes and a 7.9/a 10-star rating on IMDb.

7. Doom Patrol

HBO Max’s squad of misfits has proceeded to entertain fans and critics of three installments of Doom Patrol. In 2021, the first episode of Doom Patrol’s ten-episode season three resumed from where the COVID-affected season two left off. Michelle Gomez joined the cast for this third season, contributing to the series’ spectacular cast.

The third season scored an outstanding 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.9/10 stars on IMDb. The show’s perfect combination of heart and weirdness contributed to the high scores.

8. Invincible

Invincible emerged from the Image comic of the same title. The Prime Video series centers on a seventeen-year-old whose dad is an international superhero. The show combines superhero stories and teenage dramas, and the outcome was highly remarkable. Fans and critics have applauded Invicible’s voice cast, action sequences, and impressive animation. 

Invincible garnered an excellent 98% on rotten tomatoes and an 8.7/10- star rating review on IMDb. These scores boosted the show’s renewal for the second and third seasons.
