English rapper Stormzy announced that he would be releasing a new album titled ‘This Is What I Mean,’ next month on Wednesday evening.

The Grime artist from South London made his long-awaited return to social media after a long hiatus to announce the project will drop on the 25th of November.

A tweet with the announcement featured two images of the upcoming album.

The first was presumably the cover art, which features a crisp image of a doorway with a letter with ‘This Is What I Mean,’ written on it.

The second is the tracklist, which lists the titles of the 12 songs that will make up the project.

One of those tracks is ‘Hide & Seek,’ and on Thursday, he tweeted that this single would be released at midnight.

The teaser video the hip-hop star dropped on Twitter shows him singing and rehearsing in the studio.

The three minute 55 second video also features the artist talking to the camera, appearing to lead a group prayer before he and his team begin work in the studio.

Stormzy talks about the way he sees the role of artists as “vessels,” for God in the short clip.

He also thanks the Lord for the opportunity to be an artist and work with “geniuses,” on his new album.

“Its such a blessing to be able to do this, there’s a reason why we’re in this room together,” Stormzy said.

“In Jesus’ name we pray Lord, and we give you all the glory,” he finishes, “Lets have a great day, Amen.”

The artist then launches into a melodic hook accompanied by a beat played by one of his recording team.

Stormzy began his musical comeback when he dropped the track ‘Mel Made Me Do it,’ on the 22nd of September to his fans delight.

The song will also feature on the artist’s new project, which a Press Statement says was recorded on the Island of Osea, off the east coast of England.

The music video has gone viral, featuring Stormzy compete in a fake TV game show with celebrities Jonathan Ross and Louis Theroux among those to make cameo appearances and the clip already has eight and a half million views on YouTube.

Stormzy’s new album will follow his last project, titled ‘Heavy Is The Head,’ released in 2019.

Before that album came ‘Gang Signs and Prayer,’ released in 2017.

The rapper’s debut went platinum twice over in Britain.
