Marvel fans are super-elated at the debut of Marvel Studios’ official trailer Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The film’s trailer has already gathered a sky-high 5 million viewership just a few hours since its premiere and still counting!

Here's the breakdown of the first MCU Phase 5 upcoming film, including its synopsis, trailer info, cast and release date.

Synopsis

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumamia welcomes its loyal viewers again to the Quantum realm when a physics demonstration goes awry, sucking beloved Ant-Man characters into the gabby that saw Janet van Dyne’s disappearance for several decades as well as Scott Lang’s hiatus at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Trailer

The trailer pretty much sums up what to expect in the eagerly awaited film. Scott Lang/ Ant-Man, his love interest Hope van Dyne/The Wasp, Scott's now mature daughter Cassie, the physicist Hank Pym, and his wife Janet van Dyne explore the Quantum Realm, which accidentally sends them to a foreign universe with no way home.

As one who knows the Quantum realm all too well, Janet tries to warn her fellow explorers of the dangers within the queer universe. 'There's something I never told you,' she mentions.

Apart from the conversant Ant-Man characters, the trailer hints at its newest addition, Kang the Conqueror, who featured in Loki season 1 as a 31st-century scientist variant, who discovered numerous universes. Kang the Conqueror is MCU's next big-cross movie villain after the third phase's Thanos.

'This place isn't what you think. I can get you home and give you more time if you help me. So, what's it gonna be, Ant-Man?' Kang probes Paul Rudd's disgruntled character.

Who is in 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania'

The beloved casts we know will return include Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne/The Wasp and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne.

Kathryn Newton assumes the role of Cassie Long in this installment, taking over from Emma Fuhrmann, who featured briefly in Avengers Endgame as teenage Cassie and Abby Ryder Fortson, who portrayed young Cassie and the first and second Ant-Man films.

The coming-of-age star Jonathan Majors takes center stage as Kang the Conqueror, presumably the movie's villain. Bill Murray, the comedy icon and Ghostbuster legend, also features in an undisclosed villain role.

Randall Park, who appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp and Wandvision, also reprises his role as Jimmy Woo, an FBI Agent.

When Will 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' Debut?

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the third addition to the Ant-Man franchise, following Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) and Ant-Man (2015), marking the onset of MCU phase 5.

The movie is scheduled to hit theaters in the U.S. on February 17 2023. Mark the date to commemorate this triumphant Marvel entry!
