Jeezy Credits Influential Music Career Advice from T.I
Jeezy has credited the advice he once received from fellow rapper T.I to shaping his succesful career in music.
The rapper has been on the hip hop scene for over 20 years now and in a recent interview he revealed how much of an affect advice he received from TIp had on his career.
The Snoman revealed this information in a recent interview with the Drink Champs podcast crew on Revolt TV.
He said T.I told him that he couldn't focus on music and the street life, and advised him to focus on his musical talents at an Atlanta studio.
“I’m working on Thug Motivation, T.I. comes to the studio. I’m doing my thug thing, I probably got about 2.5 in the booth sitting with me,” Jeezy revealed, “I’ll never forget, he looked in and was like, ‘Yo, let me holla at you for a second.’”
The two went on to enter a bathroom, where they had a private conversation that spoke to Jeezy.
“You know how Tip is, he look under the stalls and everything like it’s G14 classified. And he goes, ‘Yo, you know you can’t do both, right? … You’re talented, you’re gonna blow at some point. If you continue to do what you’re doing, I don’t know how it’s gonna work out for you.'”

Jeezy revealed he initially responded to the advice in a surprised manner.
“I looked at him and said, ‘Well, sh*t. Don’t you do both? ‘Cause you the Rubber Band Man.’ He’s like, ‘Hell nah! I left that alone a long time ago.’ For me, that was a real wake-up call.”
Jeezy explained that the advice came just in time for him to hear this advice, because one of his associates soon caught a federal drug indictment.
He said it was the wake-up call he really needed at the time.
“I remember I had these two Nextel Chirps — the phones — and I rolled down the street one day and just threw them out the window, and I was done,' Jeezy said.
When I would see people in the street, they were like, ‘Yo, I owe you money!’ I’m like, ‘Nah, you ain’t owe me nothing. Keep that, live your life, Imma do this,’” he said.
Jeezy recently released the 'SNOFALL' album alongside famous Gangsta Grillz producer DJ Drama, to rave reviews.
It peaked at number nine in the US Billboard charts.
