"Isaacson's book is not accurate; it has nothing to do with reality. I need to convey this to Aronofsky," said Elon Musk's father, cautioning the Oscar-nominated director not to make the same mistake as Walter Isaacson.
Errol Musk also criticized the author, saying, 'Isaacson took lies and innuendos, expressed them as if they were facts, especially about my behavior,' and added, 'The film will be watched by thousands, maybe millions of average people. In contrast, the book will be read by better-informed, understanding, intelligent adults.'
Why is the father worried?
Isaacson describes Errol Musk in the biography as having a nature resembling a 'Jekyll and Hyde' character and labels him as a 'shady but charismatic dreamer.' In one story recounted in the book, Elon Musk, at the age of 12, attended a camp in the wilds of South Africa known as 'veldskool.' Isaacson notes Musk lost 10 kilograms under the harsh conditions where many children lost their lives.
