Right after Cobra Kai Season 5 was released on Netflix on September 9, 2022, it eventually became popular with the viewers, which made the show skyrocket to the top of the charts on Netflix. The show stars Terry Silver ( Thomas Ian Griffith) and Daniel ( Ralph Macchio), who make the film filled with intense action and excitement as the protagonist, Daniel, ends the evil reign of Terry in the valley.

Despite most of the show's story arcs being covered, the ending of Season 5 left some hints that show there will be a continuation of the series; a Season 6 of Cobra Kai. Also, the co-creators of the series, Hayden Schlossberg and Jon Hurwitz, stated an exclusive quote regarding the teasers of which events and characters would be likely present in the possible continuation of the series. Yes, there is no official news yet, but there is a lot to speculate about what will happen to Cobra Kai's endgame.

As you continue reading this article, you will find out the leaked details about the potential new season, including the cast, release date, and the possible plot of the story.

Will There Be a Season 6 of Cobra Kai?

As for now, there is no official confirmation whether the show will have a Season 6, but there are signs that it is actually possible. Although the creator of the show, Jon Harwitz, told Variety that the ideas are in the process of being visualized, they are not yet making a move for production as they are busy with other Netflix projects along with his co-creators, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald. Furthermore, Jon Harwitz told the outlet that the 'Cobra Kai' became popular after their lengthy shoots in other Netflix shows. According to the creators, there are a lot of thoughts and ideas circulating on what they want to do with the characters, and they are excited about taking the next steps.

When will Season 6 of Cobra Kai be released?

The time interval between the release of Season 4 and Season 5 was short and it surprised the fans of the Cobra Kai series, making history as the shortest gap between seasons on Netflix. However, there is no official word on when Season 6 will be released, even though its creators told the media that there will be a 'place and time' for further announcements.

The 9-month interval time of release between the previous seasons is not likely to be repeated anymore. It is because, as Jon Hurwitz stated, nothing has been filmed so far, unlike before, that the filming or the seasons are actually non-stop and back to back. This clears up all the confusion about Ralph Macchio's interview and the rumors that six scenes have already been filmed.

As usual, expect that Netflix will announce a decision around 28 days after its official release. The streamers are using the data from this 28-day calculation of when to renew a season. Yet, a popular show like Cobra Kai would be ready to air anytime due to the huge expectation of viewers. Thus, it is not surprising to see one this coming October.

And when it comes to the speculation of the release date, a recent series of photos of their filming could give us a clue. The fifth and fourth seasons began airing a year before filming began. Well, if that is the case, then it is expected that Season 6 will be released a year after filming starts. The years 2023–2024 would be a nice speculation.

Cobra Kai Season 6 Plot Hypothesis

The plot of Cobra Kai Season 6 is still unknown, even though there was a formulation of the show by the creators. However, it is known that the largest tournament in the history of Cobra Kai was shown on screen during Season 5. The Sekai Taika tournament is the largest of all those in the series.

The other two characters, Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, were also rumored to be returning to the big screen for the series' proposed trilogy. Hence, it is not bad to expect that Season 6 will be filled with action and intense fighting scenes.

Will Mike Take Over Cobra Kai?

Mike had previously informed Daniel and Chozen of an old promise from Terry Silver to give him a 50% stake in Cobra Kai. If the former enemy of Daniel and Cobra Kai were to take over the dojos, he might be able to redeem himself and the schools, but Daniel is skeptical that he would be able to find the document or the lawyer to prove it.

With the return of the sly John Kreese and his influence, a civil war within Cobra Kai is possible if Mike Barnes ends up being manipulated into leading Terry's former students into battle against Kim Da-Eun's students.

Who Will Be The Cast Of Season 6?

It is certain that the main cast of William Zabka and Ralph Macchio, with the screen names of Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso, will be present in the sixth season. Also, they would be joined by the stars of the karate kids: Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Xolo Mariduena, Tanner Buchanan, Gianni DeCenzo, and Peyton List. And in terms of the previous casts, Vanessa Rubio and Courtney Henggeler would like to make their comeback, along with Alicia Hannah-Kim, Sean Kanan, Yuji Okumoto, and Mark Barnes. However, the return of these side characters in the series will still depend on how the story of the movie flows.

Also, Marine Kove would surely return to the series after its catchy jailbreak during the finale of Season 5. Known to be a havoc wreaker, it is essential for the drama in the story of Season 6. Furthermore, the actor behind the character Terry Silver, Thomas Ian Griffith, stated in an interview that it might be the end of his role-or maybe not. Despite the uncertainties, there is still the possibility of everything in the series going as it should be, according to Hurwitz.

Kai Cobra Season 6 Spoilers

The clearest scenario right now in Season 6 is that the Global Karate Tournament will become an agenda, considering that there are still two antagonists who are still in existence: Kim Da-Eun and Kreeze. Thus, the montages between the characters will be likely to become intense.

The creators also stated that Season 6 would most likely be the end of a long series and that the series' issues would be resolved there.
