This psychological film will put you into a emotional labyrinth that will make you go through both nightmares and dreams at the same time. 

What's weird about it: It will take around 4 months to completely understand what's going on in this movie.

2. Antichrist

Storyline: A desperate married couple decides to seclude themselves and move in to a house in the woods. They hope to solve the problems of their relationship in that place. However, nature takes over and everything will be worse than it was before.

What's weird about it: Film contains many disturbing scenes that you can't forget after watching the movie.

3. Inland Empire

Storyline: In this David Lynch movie, we are witnessing a woman who is living in Inland Empire near Los Angeles. 

The director wrote the scenes before shooting the movie. This means that the movie doesn't have a scenario and this makes the movie extra mysterious.

What's weird about it: Laura Dern's disturbing performance of the character Nikki is worth seeing. In order to create a uncanny feeling, David Lynch shot the movie with a handycam.

4. Pan's Labyrinth

Storyline: Guillermo del Toro's masterpiece depicts a little girl who is building an imaginary bridge between real life -the civil war in Spain- and her imaginary world.

What's weird about it: Scary yet fantastic imagery of this movie makes it incredibly amazing.

5. The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence

Storyline: This movie is one of the most interesting horror movies of the last century. The movie tells the story of Dr. Hieter. Doctor Hieter has a mind blowing idea that would make Nazi doctors jealous. He wants to connect the people through their bowels and wants to create a centipede that is made out of humans.

What's weird about it: There are almost no dialogs throughout the movie. The movie is shot in black and white and this gives an excellent dimension to the story.

6. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Storyline: Joel Barish finds out that his girlfriend, whom he's been dating for 2 years, participated in a technological experiment. The girlfriend removed all of their relationship from her memory. She doesn't even know who Barish is anymore. Joel get furious and decides to go through the same procedure. The film portrays the relationship while Barrish gets his memory erased. Barrish goes through his relationship with all the good and bad memories. However, he regrets the decision and wants to discontinue the procedure.

What's weird about it: Weird imagery and the time jumps throughout the movie makes it as complicated as "Inception."

7. Donnie Darko

Storyline: A troubled teenager, Donnie, is visited by a guy named Frank who is constantly wearing a rabbit costume. Frank tells Donnie that the world will be destroyed in less than a month.

What's weird about it: This movie made the director Richard Kelly famous with its weird and beautiful atmosphere. The film expects the audience to solve the mysteries of the film. When the film ends, the audience is left with more and more questions.

Storyline: Dawn, an ordinary teenager, starts to get intimate with her boyfriend. However, they have trouble having an intercourse since Dawn's body has a small problem.

9. Old Boy

Konu: A man is prisoned in a cell for 15 years and he has no idea what his fault was. He finds out that his wife was murdered. Then one day he is released with some cash and a mobile phone. He slowly finds out what's going on.

What's weird about it: If the film didn't have so many violent scenes, it could be a brilliant action movie with this plot.

Storyline: Ben is suffering from insomnia. He starts working at a local supermarket. He then realizes that he has the ability to stop time.

What's weird about it: The film captures the audience with surreal imagery rather than its plot about time travel.

11. The Machinist

Storyline: Christian Bale is portraying a worker who is suffering from insomnia. This is Christian's most impressive performance.

What's weird about it: Christian Bale lost 60 lb for this role. He gained 68 lb for his role in Batman.

13. Melancholia

Storyline: Melancholia is the name of the meteor which is about the hit the Earth. Justine and Michael get married without noticing this fact. Then, Justine has to deal with both her marriage and her mental health.

What's weird about it: Kristen Dunst gives an amazing performance that outshines everyone in the film. This is possibly the most depressive movie of the current century.

15. Synecdoche, New York

Storyline: Caden Cotard is a theatre director who is working and dealing with the woman in his life when Cotard comes up with an idea of a play and creates a simulation of a life-size New York in a depot.

What's weird about it: A movie where actors play actors. The actors play real people and this goes on continuously. Movie reflects a paradox that is set in the theatrical scenery.

16. Visitor Q

Storyline: A perverse family of four is visited by a strong man who will teach them the joys of life in a creepy way.

What's weird about it: The funny thing about this film is that it is extremely disturbing from beginning to the end.

What's weird about it: Ellen Burstyn's performance is definitely worth watching. The film is the most disturbing film that shows the consequences of addiction.
