The Sole Survivor of a Deadly Plane Crash That Claimed 62 Lives
A tragic plane crash in Brazil claimed the lives of all 57 passengers and crew members on board. However, one man, Adriano Assis, miraculously survived—but only because he wasn’t allowed to board the doomed flight after a heated argument with a crew member.
A plane with a capacity of 68 passengers crashed in the city of Vinhedo, Brazil.
A fire broke out in the large area where the plane went down. It was announced that all 62 passengers on board lost their lives, and there were no survivors. In footage shared on social media, the plane is seen crashing into a wooded area, followed by a large plume of smoke rising.
The crash has gone down in history as the largest plane crash in Brazil since 2007.
However, it was later revealed that there was one person who survived—not by being on the plane, but by avoiding it. According to a report by the BBC, Brazilian Adriano Assis had a ticket for the flight but did not board. He stated that when he arrived at the airport, he could not get clear information, could not find an official, and when he did, he was told that he would not be able to board the plane.
The lucky passenger even argued with the official to board the plane!
He describes these moments with emotional words, saying, 'It saved my life.' Another passenger, who arrived at the airport early, missed the boarding time and was told that he could no longer board the plane. Insisting that they let him on, the man said, 'When I heard the crash, I looked out the window and saw it had gone down,' emphasizing that he was overwhelmed with emotion. 'I'm feeling very intense emotions. I'm here, shaking. Only God and I are aware of this moment.'
