Secret Trick to Pause Elden Ring

The exciting new entry to Dark Souls games, Elden Ring, hit the fans by storm with its thrilling and unforgiving gameplay. Ever since its initial release on February 25, 2022, Elden Ring has been barraged with new players and has become the best-selling game in the US this 2022. It’s amazing what this game achieved in the short period of time since its release.

What else can we expect from a game with an amazing storyline and a gameplay that is so challenging yet rewarding at the same time. Now, players are joining the quest to harness the power of the Elden Ring and become the Elden Lord.

But that can be quite hard to do without a pause button. FromSoftware, the developer of Elden Ring, has always been known for making their games unpausable, and for the past weeks we thought that Elden Ring was the same. There even exists a mod on PC that pauses the game but it costs you to play offline.

However it turns out that Elden Ring is not as unpausable as we thought. Here’s a secret trick that would allow you to pause Elden Ring at any time without going offline.

• First,hit the menu button or the ESC on the PC.

• Go to any menu ( e.g. Inventory)

• Press back to show contextual options and more details

• Select the Menu Explanation button 

As long as the Menu Explanation is open the action is paused. This was originally created to simply explain what various menu’s do in the game. Turns out that this is a hidden trick that allows you to pause the game without going offline.
