The animated children's anime 'Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles' is based on the Usagi Yojimbo comics.
Usagi Yojimbo is a popular manga series that takes inspiration from Akira Kurosawa's films as well as the exploits of renowned samurai Miyamoto Musashi. In the West, it is arguably most known for its link to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.

The Usagi Yojimbo comics have a long and illustrious history, having been published for nearly 35 years. The comic was created by Stan Sakai, a Japanese-American cartoonist. As previously stated, Netflix first announced in July 2020 that a new TV series based on the iconic cartoon would be released.
