Netflix Drops Trailer for Teen Supernatural Thriller Show, ‘Lockwood & Co.’

After Kaleidoscope, Ginny & Georgia 2, Pressure Cooker, Lady Vouyer, and The Lying Life of Adults, Netflix has added another January 2023 release, the British TV series, Lockwood & Co. The show is a detective thriller and supernatural adventure based on Jonathan Stroud’s book series of the same title. 

In September 2017, it was announced that Big Talk Productions had plans to adapt Stroud’s Lockwood & Co. into a TV series, although the project was revealed to be moving to Netflix in December 2020. It started filming in July 2021 at the Kensal Green Cemetery, concluding in March 2022.

Lockwood & Co. revolves around Anthony Lockwood, George Cubbins, and Lucy Carlyle, who operate a small start-up, Lockwood & Co. 

The physically gifted girl and two teenage boys aren’t focused on achieving financial success or working under any adult’s surveillance. 

Their core goal is to discover a puzzle that would change an illustrious history and their lives.

Yes! Netflix uploaded the official trailer for Lockwood & Co. a day ago, two months after sharing the official teaser. 

The trailer, which is quite comprehensive compared to the teaser, glances at Lucy’s incredible physical powers as she works alongside her two partners. The trio dives into investigations night after night across the streets of London.

Joe Cornish wrote Lockwood & Co. as an adaptation of Stroud’s book series and served as a director alongside William McGregor and Catherine Morshead. 

The series is a Complete Fiction Production Company project with chief producers Cornish, Rachael Prior, and Nira Park.

The curios trio, Lucy Carlyle, Anthony Lockwood, and George Cubbins, is portrayed by Ruby Stokes, Cameron Chapman, and Ali H-Heshmati, respectively. 

The supporting actors are Ivanno Jeremiah (Inspector Barnes), Ben Crompton (Julius Winkman), Morven Christie (Penelope Fittes), and Luke Treadaway (The Golden Blade).

Lockwood & Co. premieres on Friday, January 27, 2023, exclusively on Netflix, with eight amazing episodes. 

Netflix recently shared the release date and a trailer via its primary Twitter account, accompanied by a caption, “In a world infested by ghosts, these three psychic teenagers are humanity’s last line of defense.”
