Elden Ring was able to deliver new and fascinating weapons that satisfy the players’ desire for something fresh all the while mixing in lots of classic From Software weapons. One of the most iconic weapon from the game-maker and also one of the staples you must have is the fan-favorite signature greatsword, the Claymore. How do you obtain this weapon in Elden Ring?

What is The Claymore?

This is one of the most well-known weapons From Software has ever made so many players are quite familiar with it. The Claymore is a Greatsword that requires its wielder to have a minimum of 16 Strength and 13 Dexterity. Besides being a great gap-closer and a perfect synergy for the Lion’s Claw Weapon, the Claymore is loved because of its flashy moves and attacks which deal impressive damage.

“A large sword with a long, straight blade. This heavy sword is usually wielded with two hands, but for those with enough strength, one is sufficient. In addition to the heavy sweeping attacks, it can also make a heavy piercing thrust making this a versatile weapon.”

Where To Get The Claymore?

The Claymore can be found inside the Castle Morne in the Weeping Peninsula. The Claymore is accessible pretty early in the game. You can go to the Weeping Peninsula as soon as you finish the tutorial so you can make sure you obtain that Claymore for your build.

Upon the first Site of Grace at Castle Morne, take the lift and go straight ahead to find a corpse pile with some harpies. You can run or defeat these enemies and then make your way to the right of the bodies where you’ll find a door. Look to your left and you’ll se a chest that contains the Claymore.
