Dead Space Remake New Gameplay Features Revealed
New gameplay features of the much-anticipated remake of the Dead Space series were revealed in a blog post, and the game is looking very good so far. The remake of Dead Space comes after almost a decade since the last installment of the series was released back in 2013. Dead Space 3 was released internationally in February of 2013, and the game received a DLC just a month after in March of 2013.
However, the upcoming survival horror game by Motive Studio will be a remake of the first Dead Space—the first-ever entry in the series—and will involve plenty of features that would make most fans of the game satisfied and happy.
In an official blog post by PlayStation, the remake of Dead Space is said to add several new features to the sci-fi horror video game. Some of them are purely for the immersive gaming experience, while others are significantly impactful to the series’ gameplay.
Below are some of the new features we’ll see in the upcoming Dead Space remake.
Isaac Is Now Fully Voiced
Unlike the past installments in the franchise, the main protagonist of Dead Space, Isaac Clarke, is now actually able to speak. Isaac being mute wasn’t that big of a deal back then, given that it doesn’t take anything away from the gameplay. However, this new addition is an excellent step toward making the game much more immersive for players.
Improved Visuals and Details
As we would expect from a remake, this game features improved graphics and details compared to its predecessors. The game now incorporates various environmental effects aimed to improve the player’s immersive experience. Also, the game includes small additional details as a part of the gameplay experience improvement and enhanced game narrative. Expect to see more gory details as well.
More Freedom in Zero-G
The game now provides you with more freedom while navigating in zero gravity. Previously, you had limited movement in zero gravity despite being able to leap around. But in this remake, you’ll be able to navigate the areas in full 360. Your character will now also have a propulsion boost to help you dodge those pesky necromorphs.
“Intense New Moments”
If you remember in the original game, your main character was sometimes just forced to watch certain scenes and sequences in the game. But in this remake, Isaac will be able to witness these transformations and events face-to-face.
These are just some of the features shown, but there are plenty of other new features that will surely improve the remake’s gameplay, visuals, and overall gaming experience.
