The world of Call of Duty has its own fair share of hackers and cheaters exploiting their way to victory, and it's no longer a rare sight in the game. Level hacks, wall hacks, and even aimbot would no longer be a surprise for players as it happens all the time. Players would just casually quit or continue on with the match and shrug it off like nothing happened then start another match.
Recently, a redditor going by the name Rip-Falcon has shared an in-game clip on the Warzone subreddit showing a player using a very strange hack that no one has ever seen before in the game. At the start of the clip, his teammates were talking on the mic about how this hacker was racking up 40+ kills in a single game of Warzone.
When the player's team was moving along a cliffside, they were taken aback when the cheater appeared just below them. The cheater was seen using a hack that allows them to scale up the cliff and wipe out the players by a melee attack, ultimately sending them to the Gulag. The players were flabbergasted since they have never seen anything like this before in their whole Warzone experience.
On the killcam, the cheater was revealed to be spamming the melee button to launch themselves up the cliff. Since doing a melee attack makes players move a bit forward, it's possible that the hack was based on that slight forward lunge. Nevertheless, it was a very weird phenomenon to be encountered in the game.
Despite Activision's new Ricochet-anti-cheat system, hackers like this could still scoot their way into the game. As a result, players will be more cautious when approaching cliff edges in order to avoid being surprised by hackers like this.
