Big Sean to Take A Step Back From Rap Career To Care for Son

Rapper Big Sean will be taking a break from his music career to focus on the birth of his child.

Along with his partner Jhene Aiko, the artist is expecting to have a baby boy quite soon.

Aiko, who is 34-years old, is a well known singer and artist in the hip hop genre in her own right and the superstar pair will soon become a family of three.

The news was first reported in July of this year when Sean and Jhene were spotted walking in Los Angeles and Aiko was displaying a baby bump.

The couple recently celebrated Jhene's pregnancy with a no expense spared baby shower party.

The rapper spoke to TMZ at LAX airport, who asked him if he had come up with any names for his child.

Sean Don replied to the network's reporter, saying he didn't know yet, not eager to reveal anything as of yet.

'You know that's a good question, but, I don't have a good answer,' the hip hop star joked.

Big Sean was also asked about how long he planned to step away from the hip hop world to care for his son.

'Well I'm definitely takin some time for it to just be us,' the rapper explained.

You can't really put a time limit on it, you gotta feel it out,' he said

At the end of the short interview, Big Sean goes to catch his flight but makes sure to recommend some new music to the cameras.

Sean Don shouted out two new albums, recommending Jeezy and DJ Drama's new collaboration 'SnoFall,' mixtape first.

The artists also recommends Taylor Swift's huge new album 'Midnights,' which caused Spotify to crash recently due to fan demand.

Big Sean and Jhene Aiko have been seeing each other on and off for years.

His partner Aiko already has one child from a previous relationship when she was much younger, a daughter born 14 years ago.

Big Sean last released a studio album in 2020, tiled 'Detroit 2,' which debuted at number one in the Billboard charts.

His collaborative EP, 'What You Expect,' with Hit-Boy, dropped last year.

'Hate Our Love,' is the only single the Detroit artist has dropped this year. The song, which features, Queen Naija, went certified gold in sales.

He also featured on Ellie Goulding's song, 'Easy Lover,' this year.
