Welcome to ArtIstanbul Feshane, a remarkable cultural and arts complex situated along the scenic shores of the Golden Horn. Originally constructed in 1833 by Ottoman Sultan Mahmud II as a textile factory for producing army uniforms, Feshane has witnessed significant transformations throughout its history. After serving as a factory until 1925, it later became an international fair and congress center from 1989 to 2018.

Recently, the Istanbul Municipality undertook an extensive five-year project to restore this historic building to its former glory. In a grand ceremony, the revitalized space was unveiled as ArtIstanbul Feshane, now poised to host national and international exhibitions in the realms of culture and art.

Spanning across an expansive area of 8,000 square meters, the complex boasts a diverse range of facilities. These include a biennial space, temporary exhibition areas, a store, conference hall, library, and a cozy café. The inauguration of ArtIstanbul Feshane was celebrated with a captivating exhibition titled 'Starting from the Middle,' which showcased the works of 300 artists. This engaging display featured over 400 artworks encompassing various techniques and periods.

During the opening ceremony, Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu expressed his joy in adding the historically significant Feshane to the city's growing list of successfully restored landmarks.
