The family, friends, fans, and colleagues of reality show star and WWE Wrestling sensation Sara Lee are overcome with grief after the 30-year-old and mother of three passed away unexpectedly on October 7, 2022.
News of her sudden death came as a shock- just the day before, she posted about overcoming a sinus infection and was even well enough to go to the gym.
Here’s everything you need to know about Sara Lee’s life and unfortunate death.
News of her death
Terri, the mother of Sara Lee, broke the news about the healthy 30-year-old's death on Facebook. Terri couldn’t hide her disbelief, saying that the family was still in a state of shock and that ‘Sara has left to be with Jesus.’
Terri also asked for privacy while they grieved.
As the news is fairly recent, an official cause of death has not been released- but this hasn’t stopped the internet to share their speculations.
Sara Lee's career
Not many people know that Sara Lee was a powerlifter before she won the Tough Enough reality show. The win secured her a $250,000 contract from no less than the WWE.
She would fight it out in the ring for several years through her screen name, Hope. Her WWE contract ended in 2016 but she continued to train in Florida.
Sara Lee’s family life
Aside from being a wrestler, Sara was a loving wife to fellow wrestler Cory James Weston. Together, they were proud parents to three little children. They paint a happy picture on social media and even went as characters from the Little Mermaid for Halloween in 2021.
Sara was close to her parents. Just barely two months ago, her father accompanied her to a My Chemical Romance concert- just as he did when she was 13 years old.

Sara Lee’s friends set up a fundraising site for her and her family. Her fellow wrestler, Bull James started a GoFundMe site to raise 20,000. The site has now raised 75,000.
