As the war rages on in Eastern Europe, humanitarian relief efforts are needing more funding and more people around the globe are willing to help. It also includes big companies like Riot who are going to donate their sales and start a player-supported fundraiser.

Starting from March 5 to March 12, Riot donated all revenue from the Battle Pass sales in VALORANT, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics, and Wild Rift, and also the new Bee skin line in League of Legends.

“From March 5-12, we’re launching in-game fundraisers across @LeagueOfLegends, @PlayVALORANT, @wildrift, @TFT, and @PlayRuneterra to support humanitarian relief efforts in Europe.” -Riot Games (@riotgames)

Of course, these in-game fundraisers can only be successful thanks to the support of players who are willing to help. Besides the player supported fundraising, Riot also donated $1million to three humanitarian nonprofits aiding directly in the relief operations in Eastern Europe.

The humanitarian nonprofits include:

  • International Medical Corps

  • Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders

  • Polish Red Cross

This is a huge help for the people but also for the gaming and esports community in Ukraine. The invasion has affected a large part of the globe and that impact extended to Esports and Tournaments as well. Riot has canceled tournaments in Ukraine including the EMEA VALORANT Champions Tour.

All proceeds and donations from Riot and its organized events will directly aid humanitarian relief in Ukraine and other affected areas.
