Netflix’s Japanese Anime Movie ‘Bubble’: Release Date, Trailer, Plot, and More
Anime fans may celebrate the arrival of Spring 2022 by seeing Wit Studio's newest feature, 'Bubble,' which will be released worldwide in April. Here’s everything you need to know about Netflix’s ‘Bubble’.
‘Bubble’ Release Date
On February 10, 2022, the anime film 'Bubble' received early screenings at the Berlin International Film Festival. The film will then have a worldwide premiere on Netflix on April 28, 2022, and a theatrical release in Japan on May 13th.
‘Bubble’ Trailer
Hibiki and Uta's fateful encounter in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo, with cities and buildings submerged in water, opens the trailer. Scenes depict the film's actors leaping and flying high between floating wreckage and abandoned buildings, with rich visuals and great animation by WIT Studio, which is best known for producing Attack on Titan's first three seasons.

'Bubble Feat. ', the film's opening theme song, was also used in the teaser. EVE, the vocalist behind 'Kaikai Kitan' from Jujutsu Kaisen and 'Ao no Waltz' from Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, performs 'Uta.'
‘Bubble’ Plot
Following a terrible incident in which bubbles rained down on the planet and defied the rules of gravity, the film Bubble is set in Tokyo, Japan. The city, which was once a busy metropolis, has been transformed into a playground for a group of young people who have lost their families, serving as a battleground for parkour teams as they leap from building to building.
Hibiki, a teenage ace known for his risky style of play, makes a risky move one day and falls into the gravity-defying water. Uta, a girl with unusual abilities, saves his life. The two then hear a strange sound that only they can hear.

'Bubble' is a Wit Studio-produced 2022 Japanese animated film. It is directed by Tetsuro Araki and written by Gen Urobuchi, with Takeshi Obata's character designs and Hiroyuki Sawano's music.
