Early life and career

Born on 12 December 1975, Mayim Bialik would start her acting career young, with her first notable role being that of a young Bette Midler in 1989’s Beaches. The following year she landed the title role in NBC’s Blossom, but it would be her role as Dr Amy Farrah Fowler on CBS’s The Big Bang Theory that would really launch her career. This is the role that would earn her 4 Emmy nominations and make her a very well- paid sitcom star.

The Big Bang Theory Salary

Bialik is said to earn $450,000 per episode of the series. That means that Bialik earns approximately $10 million per season. This was not always the case, as in 2017 the main cast members of the show agreed to take a pay cut to bring the salaries of Bialik and co-star Melissa Rauch to the same level.

Bialik started life in San Diego, California, and comes from a family of Jewish immigrants. After graduating from North Hollywood High School in 1993 Bialik would go on to study Neuroscience at UCLA. She earned her degree in 2007.

Property Investment

Her Big Bang Theory salary isn’t the only thing Bialik has going for her. She also has property assets. Purchasing her home in Studio City, California in 2004, Bialik paid and impressive $540,000. The property is said to be valued at $2 million today.

Writing Career

Bialik is also a prolific writer and adds to her net worth with her books on raising kids, vegan eating, and loving yourself. She published her first book 'Beyond the Sling: A Real-Life Guide to Raising Confident, Loving Children the Attachment Parenting Way,' in 2012, teaming up with paediatrician Jay Gordon to write it. This was followed in 2014’s 'Mayim's Vegan Table: More Than 100 Great-Tasting and Healthy Recipes from My Family to Yours.' In 2017 and 2018 she released 'Girling Up: How to be Strong, Smart and Spectacular' and 'Boying Up: How to be Brave, Bold and Brilliant' respectively.

Career Awards

Her career has included many awards and honours, most notably for her work with The Big Bang Theory. This role would earn the actor the Online Film Critic’s Award in 2012 and 2013. Then in 2016 and 2018 the Critic’s Choice Television Awards, and additionally in 2018 the Broadcast Film Critics Association Critics Choice Award in 2018.
