The American actor and musician was born on August 26, 1980 as Macaulay Carson Culkin. In his childhood, he lived with his parents and siblings  in a small apartment in Yorkville, Manhattan.

When he was just 4 years old, Culkin already appeared on stage in a production of Bach Babies at the New York Philharmonic. He also had his film debut as Cy Blur Black in the film Rocket Gibraltar in 1988.
