Thomas Jacob 'Jack' Black is a famous American actor, comedian, songwriter, and musician. He is most famous for his role in School of Rock and for the voice of Po in the animated movie, Kung-fu Panda. Jack Black is also known for his role in the Jumanji franchise. Since 1994, Jack Black has been a part of the comedy-rock duo, Tenacious D, along with his good friend, Kyle Glass. The duo also won a Grammy during the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in 2015. Jack Black surely has a lot of successes to his name, but with whom does Jack Black share all this?

Tanya Haden was born on October 11, 1971 in New York City. She is a triplet with her sisters, Rachel and Petra. She was raised in a musically-inclined household and is actually an excellent cello player— a skill that she probably inherited from her father, Charlie Haden. Aside from being musically gifted, Tanya is also artistically-inclined. In high school, she focused more on the arts instead of music. She is as skilled with a paintbrush as she is with the cello. She is credited for multiple animated films, even being part of Kung-fu Panda, a film in which her husband actually voiced the main character.

You might think that they met later along in life, but how exactly did Jack and Tanya end up together?

Possibly to your surprise, Jack and Tanya actually met in high school! The two were schoolmates at Crossroads School, a private highschool for performing arts and science situated in Santa Monica, California. And while their paths actually crossed at such a young age, the two didn’t actually settle for a relationship back then.

In 2005, Jack and Tanya surprisingly reunited at a friend’s party and Jack finally had the courage to ask Tanya out. It took him 15 long years before he was able to ask her for a date. To Jack’s surprise, Tanya of course agreed. Everything then just went along from there and the couple got married in 2006, just less than a year of dating.

Jack says that he wished to have asked Tanya out when they were younger and not have wasted multiple years waiting. The two now live together with their two sons, Samuel Jason and Thomas David. The couple will celebrate their 16th year of marriage in March 2022.
