The Sims series, the life simulation that has been reigning for years, has a strong competitor. Recently announced and developed by Paradox, Life By You promises players some innovations that we feel are missing in The Sims series. Let's take a look at the information we have.
1. A much more detailed character creation.
Over the years, The Sims franchise has put a lot of thought into character creation. But in Life By You, it looks like we'll have more control over our character. But with Life By You, our characters will communicate in a real language, just like us. Moreover, in Life By You, we will be able to choose what our characters will say in the conversation.
3. In the basic version we will have more item options.
Additional packs, some of which add new seasons, regions, or just items to the game, are the money-making machines of The Sims series. However, all this can become quite annoying for us players. Especially the things that were in the basic versions of previous games, such as the pool in the first release of The Sims 4, but were taken away from us and brought back as a result of the reactions! Life By You looks like it will offer players a much wider range of items and themes in the base version. Of course, we don't rule out the possibility of additional packs in the future.
4. We will be able to follow our characters everywhere.
Players of The Sims know very well that after sending their Sims to work or school, they can't keep track of them. This can be annoying, especially if you're playing with a single character, as we're waiting for them for minutes on end. Unlike The Sims, Life By You promises that we can see and control our characters in every area of their world.
5. Every space will be open for building.
While in The Sims, the areas where we can build a house are limited by what the game dictates, Life By You leaves this control completely up to us. If you wish, you can build your house in the heart of the city, in an area adjacent to the city hall, with no space limits, or on the top of a mountain.
6. Much more editing options.
The Sims series also allows us to take over the town and customize it the way we want, but only up to a certain point. In Life By You's promotional videos, we see that we will have much more detailed options at this point. Everything from the type of terrain to the people there will be under our control. And the promise is that this can be done directly in the game, without a loading screen.
7. You can control whoever you want, whenever you want.
In The Sims series, the characters we can control are limited to the household we choose. To control another town resident, you need to quit the current game and start a new game by selecting that family. However, Life By You will completely eliminate this and allow us to control any character in its world with a single click. What kind of possibilities this holds remains to be seen in the imagination of the players.
