Elden Ring, like its famous predecessor Dark Souls, is a punishingly difficult action roleplaying game that has been gaining popularity. The combat system is hard to understand and master, which sets it apart from other RPG games. The game only has one mode which, compared to other games, allows you to choose on your own. According to developer FromSoftware, the game mode is appropriate for both new and experienced players of this video game genre. There are also unique stats in the game, such as Poise, which can give you an advantage or a disadvantage.

Poise is one of the most important statuses in the game. The level of poise is determined by how you level your character. Furthermore, wearing heavier armor gives a higher poise, which leads to a higher damage output. It also has a bar that gets affected when an enemy lands a successful hit. When the bar gets depleted, you become staggered and more vulnerable to enemy attacks. Poise is not limited to your character; enemies have a Poise level as well.

Staggering enemies can be accomplished in a number of ways. Heavy attacks are highly effective since they cause the enemy to lose Poise more quickly. Heavy attacks that are charged are superior because they deal more damage and stagger opponents more quickly. Parrying with a shield is one method of instantly staggering an opponent, but it is tricky to master due to the amount of practice required. These are some of the best ways to effectively stagger an opponent. This is the art of staggering.
