The Japanese animation drama 'Kotaro Lives Alone,' which will premiere on Netflix in March 2022 and is based on the manga 'Kotaro wa Hitorigurashi,' depicts the narrative of a five-year-old child who moves into an apartment complex.

'Kotaro Lives Alone,' a 2021 anime, is a joyful and melancholy narrative of a five-year-old kid who lives alone in an apartment complex.

About ‘Kotaro Lives Alone’ Manga

On March 13, 2015, Mami Tsumura's Kotar wa Hitori Gurashi, written and illustrated by her, was serialized in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Big Comic Superior. Shogakukan has divided its chapters into separate tankbon volumes. On December 28, 2015, the first volume was released. Eight volumes have been published as of September 30, 2021.

‘Kotaro Lives Alone’ Release Date

'Kotaro Lives Alone,' a Netflix original net animation (ONA) anime series adaption by Liden Films, is set to premiere on Netflix worldwide on Thursday, March 10, 2022. This is the first time the manga has been converted into an excellent animation.

From April 24 to June 26, 2021, TV Asahi broadcasted Mami Tsumura's invention, which contains 10 episodes and a twenty-five minute length.

‘Kotaro Lives Alone’ Storyline

Shin Karino is a well-known manga author who is also single. He lives in an apartment complex with a restriction prohibiting the presence of children.

Shin Karino's doorbell rings one day. He sees a tiny boy when he opens the door to his apartment. Kotaro Sato is a 5-year-old boy.

Kotaro Sato informs Shin Karino that he has relocated to the area. Because of the regulations of his apartment complex, Shin Karino makes an odd expression. According to Kotaro Sato, he lives alone. Kotaro Sato irritates Shin Karino at first.

Shin Karino and the other inhabitants of the apartment complex grow attached to Kotaro Sato.

Kotaro goes on his daily shopping trip with his toy sword slung over his waist.

Despite his youth, Kotaro is smart beyond his years, and he begins to influence people around him as he demonstrates his resolve to live a solid life while waiting to rejoin with his parents.

‘Kotaro Lives Alone’ Cast

There were so many outstanding performers involved in this slice of life anime.

Yu Yokoyama plays the role of Shin Karino, a talented budding manga artist, also the neighbor of Kotaro.

Eito Kawahara stars as Kotaro Sato, a 5-year-old boy who’s renting an apartment to live alone by himself.

Maika Yamamoto plays the role of Mizuki Akitomo, another neighbor of Kotaro and Karino.

Daigo Nishihata stars as Keisuke Hanawa, the teacher of a primary kindergarten and manages the star class.

Kanako Momota plays Ayano Kobayashi, a lawyer who’s in charge of delivering weekly money to Kotaro for living expenses.

Katsuhisa Namase as Isamu Tamaru, another neighbor of Kotaro, who’s estranged from his wife and son.

Ken Mitsuishi is Makio Suzuno, a lawyer and boss of Kobayashi and acquainted with Kotaro.

Issey Ogata as Ji san, the landlord where Kotaro, Karino, and others live.

Koji Okura as Ippei Fukuno, editor and previous in charge of Karino’s manga.

Natsuki Deguchi as Toko Futuba, Karino’s ex-girlfriend.

Mamiya Shotaro is Aota Manabu, a detective hired by Kotaro’s dad.

Tozuka Junki as Raimo Yano, the new in-charge of Karino’s manga.

Takito Kenichi is Kotaro’s dad in a cameo.
