1. He’s there no matter what
Sure, people can break up with their friends too, but those breakups are not the same as when you’re in a relationship, nor as dramatic or irreparable. With your best friend, though, it’s out of the question. So, your guy best friend is here to stay, unlike your boyfriend, who may or may not call things off any minute.
2. He’s honest with you.
Someone who is trying to get in your pants will never be completely honest about how the pants actually look on you. A true friend, however, is always brutally honest about your looks. A guy best friend is even better: he doesn’t get jealous or always want to look better than you, I mean, deep inside.
3. You can order whatever you want at dinner.
Because as long as you’re not lovers, no man sees himself as the one who MUST pay for the dinner. So you can order what you actually want, rather than getting all nervous about whether it will be too expensive or something for another person to pay. 10. You can take him home to your parents without it being a big deal.
When you invite a guy with whom you’re romantically involved to meet your family, he might automatically assume you’re deeply in love with him and want to get married tomorrow.
