East Coast legend Diddy has become one of hip hop's richest men after being declared a billionaire.According to the former senior entertainment editor of 'Forbes,' Zack O'Malley Greenburg, Diddy has become a billionaire.The writer announced the news on the writing site, 'Substack,' through his blog.According to 'Forbes,' Kanye West is no longer a billionaire after sportswear brand Adidas ended their business relationship with the hip hop icon earlier this week.West, now named 'Ye,' also saw several other business deals with major companies, like thatof his deal with Balenciaga, fall by the way side in recent times after he has come out with a number of controversial opinions in recent times.Most controversial were Ye's anti-Semitic remarks made in a number of interviews, most recently on the 'Drink Champs,' podcast as well as through his social media accounts.Ye is now valued at around $400 million in the aftermath of his many partnerships going dry.According to O'Malley Greenburg's article, Ye remains amongst the top five richest people in hip hop but he has now been overtaken by Diddy in terms of wealth.Jay-Z is reported to still be the genre's wealthiest man, with his net worth valued at a massive $1.5 billion.Diddy, real name Sean Combs, is valued at the billion mark now, which sees him slide into second place among hip hop's rich elite behind Jay-Z.

New Orleans legend Lil Wayne has revealed the lienup of musical acts for his Lil Weezyana Fest.The yearly show was originally to take place in August but it was delayed due to what wayne and his people called 'unforeseen circumstances.'A new date of 29th October was instead put in place for the event.Lil Wayne took to social media with that announcement.'“To my fans, you know I always want to deliver the best show possible and we hope this has not inconvenienced you in anyway,' he stated.The festival was sold out thanks to you. Please hold on to your tickets and I will see you in October. I promise to make it up to you and to my city. Love,” Wayne added.As the new date of the festival approaches, Weezy has revealed the new lineup for the Louisiana based event.According to the lineup poster image released by Lil Wayne, the festival will feature a star studded lineup,featuring some of rap's biggest names.Lil Wayne of course, headlines the festival, but there are so many other big names for fans to be excited about.In August, Coi Leray and Moneybagg Yo were speculated to be the headline acts but since then, even bigger names have been added to the billing.Quavo & Takeoff, Cam'ron, Rick Ross and Rob 49 will all play shows at the festival in the south of the USA.So too will young money, Neno Calvin, Babyface Ray and Mellow Rackz.

Metro Boomin has announced that his upcoming ablum, 'Heroes & Villains,' will not drop on its originally planned release date of November the fourth.The artist has claimed that there have been some clearance issues with some of the samples used in tracks on the album and has pushed its release date back to 2nd December.Its original release date in early November coincides with the releases of several other albums by big artists but Metro Boomin denies that this is the reason for changing the date.“I couldn’t get all the samples on my album cleared in time for next week so I’m dropping on Dec 2nd now so I have enough time to make sure you all get this masterpiece as intended,” the musician tweeted on Wednesday. “I promise it’s worth the wait!! P.S. I would NEVER move my album date because of anyone else,” he added just to be sure.

Drake and 21 Savage have pushed back the release date of their joint album, 'Her Loss,' from this Friday (28th October).The highly anticipated collaboration project has been pushed back because the producer has become ill with coronavirus.Drizzy said he had 'become sick' with the virus while mixing and mastering the joint project.On Wednesday, Drake announced on his Instagram Story that the album would be delayed as longtime producer, Noah '40' Shebib, had become sick with coronavirus while working to add the finishing touches to the album.'Our brother @ovo40 got Covid while mastering the crack so he's resting up and NOVEMBER 4th is HER LOSS day so we'll see you soon,' Drizzy posted to Instagram.

Eminem has announced that he will be releasing a deluxe edition of the '8 Mile' soundtrack for the 20th anniversary of the classic movie and the album released alongside it.Eminem revealed this news to fans through his social media accounts on Wednesday (26th October), announcing that the reissued album would be released on Friday the 28th of October.The Detroit rapper will also be dropping a video montage of the some the rap battle movie's best scenes. “‘I’m still standing here screaming ‘f*** the Free World,”” Eminem tweeted on Wednesday, referencing his line from the movie. “#8Mile 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of the soundtrack drops on streaming Friday!,” the rap legend added.

Rihanna is set to make her return to music this week after taking a 6 year break from her career.The 34 year old singer teased a song from the upcoming 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,' soundtrack on Twitter this week.Rihanna teased the song title and audio from the upcoming track in a Tweet on the social media platform with a pre-save link for users of the Apple Music and Spotify streaming platforms.The song from the upcoming movie is due to be released this Friday, the 28th of Ocotber.The song is titled 'Lift Me Up,' and according to a recent press release, is intended to pay tribute to the life and legacy of late Black Panther actor, Chadwick Boseman.

Drumma Boy has backed his hometown city of Memphis as the leader of hip hop music right now.TMZ spoke to Drumma Boy at his studio as he put the final touches on his new album, which will be called 'Welcome to My City Vol.4.'The artist spoke of how he loves his native city, but for too long infighting stopped locals from seeing the success that musicians from other cities such as Atlanta achieved.'You don't have the unification,' the artist spoke of the city's past.'Twenty years ago, it would have been the city that loved to hate, you know what I mean,' he explained.Now Drumma Boy thinks the city is starting to see credit where its due for its musical output regarding the hip hop world, with many artists in the genre sampling Memphis artists.'Now all you hear is Memphis on fire, Memphis on fire, Memphis on fire!,' he says of the plaudits the city is receiving.'Since the beginning people been pulling from the Memphis culture,' he adds, referencing the number of artists from the city sampled by other musical acts.

Old School hip hop group 'Salt'N'Pepa' are due to be honoured with a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.The rap duo are set to receive the 2,738th golden star on the famous Hollywood strip.The likes of MC Lyte and Roxanna Shante are set to speak at the awarding of the star ceremony, which is scheduled for the fourth of November.The members of the influential group, Cheryl 'Salt' James and Sandra 'Pepa' Denton as well as Deidra 'Spinderella' Roper, blazed a trail for women in hip hop music with their new style of music in the genre.The members of the group were amongst the first ladies to be awarded a Grammy honour and to this day, they hold the title of best-selling album of all time by any female rap group in hip hop courtesy of their 1993 release, 'Very Necessary.'The group are also the first all female posse to have an album go gold before then going platinum.Some of Salt-N-Pepa's most successful hits include 'Push It,' 'Let's Talk About Sex,' and 'None of Your Business.'

Rapper Jeezy has revealed what he treats himself to each year on his birthday in a new interview.Speaking on the 'Million Dollaz Worth of Game' podacast, the Atlanta native revealed that he is no longer interested in purchasing extravagant jewelry or cars when spending his hard earned cash.Instead, the hip hop star said that he now invests in property, not material goods, on every one of his birthdays.“Every big check I ever got, I bought property,' the star stated, 'Every time I had a birthday, I buy property,” “I don’t buy chains, watches, cars, none of that; I buy property,” Jeezy explained.With this habit, the Georgia rapper said he owns 'half of Atlanta.'In the podcast he details his foray into the real-estate world and shouts out his friend and business associate, Solo, for putting him on to the business.“We went and bought all this land and buildings in the beginning. I kinda fell back from it because I was touring. I got back and he was like, ‘Come sit down and talk to me,'” Jeezy explained.“He broke out the business and was like, ‘You know this building you bought for such-and-such is worth this now. And this land you bought for this is worth this now,’ the rapper portrayed. I’m looking and I’m like, ‘Damn! Adidas has ended its partnership with the rapper and producer Kanye West, now known as 'Ye,' after the hip hop star's recent controversial comments.The German sportswear company described West's comments as 'unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous.'The clothing brand has faced many calls to end their relationship with West following a number of interviews with the star have seen him make controversial comments. West also made remarks on social media, all of which have seen the stock price of Adidas plummet as they appeared to make no move to end their professional agreement with West, who has changed his legal name to Ye.Most of the controversy has stemmed from several antisemitic remarks the musician and fashion designer has made.West recently had his accounts on the social media platforms Instagram and Twitter restricted over posts which the platforms said violated their policies.On Tuesday, Adidas said it was going to end production of its Yeezy branded products, designed by Kanye West, with 'immediate effect.'This news came in a statement released by the global sportswear brand.

Rap star Drake celebrated his 36th birthday in style in Miami on Monday evening.The Toronto native partied at Sexy Fish club in Miami, where he marked his birthday along with a host of big names.The 6God's bash saw the star give those in attendance the chance to win some fantastic gifts in a raffle competition.Among the prizes, were $5,000 gift cards, a Rolex watch, expensive designer bags and $10,000 in straight cash.Some of the celebrities and musicians to attend the big party were DJ Khaled, 21 Savage, Lil Baby and Chaney Jones.Some of the stars from 'Love Island' also made an appearance, namely Emily Sach and Genevieve Shawcross.Novelty cash adorned with the face of Drake was put into circulation amongst the partygoers, titled 'Drake Bucks.'The famous 'Sexy Fish' venue also honoured the Canadian rapper by changing its name to 'Sexy Gyal,' for the night.Images and videos of the night circulated on social media, with many celebrities wishing Drizzy a happy birthday.One video shows the star celebrating with a drink after attendees sing him 'Happy Birthday.'Check it out below:

Rapper Big Sean will be taking a break from his music career to focus on the birth of his child. Along with his partner Jhene Aiko, the artist is expecting to have a baby boy quite soon.Aiko, who is 34-years old, is a well known singer and artist in the hip hop genre in her own right and the superstar pair will soon become a family of three.The news was first reported in July of this year when Sean and Jhene were spotted walking in Los Angeles and Aiko was displaying a baby bump.The couple recently celebrated Jhene's pregnancy with a no expense spared baby shower party.The rapper spoke to TMZ at LAX airport, who asked him if he had come up with any names for his child.Sean Don replied to the network's reporter, saying he didn't know yet, not eager to reveal anything as of yet.'You know that's a good question, but, I don't have a good answer,' the hip hop star joked.Big Sean was also asked about how long he planned to step away from the hip hop world to care for his son.'Well I'm definitely takin some time for it to just be us,' the rapper explained.You can't really put a time limit on it, you gotta feel it out,' he saidShout out to all the mothers man, and dads, doin it you know,' Sean added.

Lil Baby's new album 'Its Only Me,' has topped the Billboard 200 music charts in the USA, with the highest number of first-week sales if his career to date.Billboard has the Atlanta artist's release recorded as selling 216,000 album equivalent units in its first week on the shelves.The rapper's project debuted at number 1 in the Billboard charts and 209,000 of its unit sales came from SEA (Streaming Equivalent Albums) units, which means the songs from the LP have been streamed around 88.97 million times.The album's figures so far means it is up there with the top hip hop releases of this year.At current, it is the third most successful rap album in sales. behind Kendrick Lamar's 'Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers,' and 'I Never Liked You,; by Future.That means that Lil Baby has outsold some of the genre's biggest names this year, outdoing Drake's 'Honestly, Never Mind,' which only garnered 204,000 units sold in its debut week.Lil Baby's newest release was dropped on the 14th of October, and saw tracks assisted by the likes of Young Thug, Future, Jeremih and Fridayy.Pooh Shiesty Nardo Wick, EST Gee and Rylo Rodriguez also feature on songs on the project.

Cardi B has seen her success achieved in numbers as she has reached over 100 million in Recording Industry Association of America Certified (RIAA) units sold.According to a report by 'Chart Data,' the RIAA certification includes albums, singles and feature appearances that Cardi B has garnered in her music career up to now.The Bronx-raised rapper has amassed over 54 million digital sales, which means she is now the best-selling female hip-hop artist of all-time.This success comes after the RIAA recently announced that the New York native's singles 'Bodak Yellow,' and 'I Like It,' which features Latin stars J Balvin and Bad Bunny, have each sold 11 million units in the United States of America.'Bodak Yellow,' was Cardi's lead single off of her debut studio project, titled 'Invasion of Privacy.'The song earned Cardi B a diamond record, a feat never before awarded to a female rapper.She also became the first female hip hop artist to climb to the summit of the Billboard Hot 100 music charts in the USA in 19 years with that single.

Rappers Drake and 21 Savage have announced that they will be releasing a new joint album together, which will be called, 'Her Loss.'The pair made the announcement in quite an innovative way, interlacing a new music video with the news.On Friday (21st October), Drizzy announced that he would be dropping a new music video for the duo's most recent song release. 'Jimmy Crooks,' from his 'Honestly, Nevermind,' album.The official video was released today, which also happens to be the birthday of 21 Savage.Drake posted to his Instagram story, 'Jimmy Cooks video dropping Saturday,”The upload was accompanied by a picture displaying two chains; one had a chilled out pendant of the OVO Owl and the other was adorned with 21 Savage's 4L Logo.The video, which is out now, is directed by Mahfuz Sultan and features a hidden message pop up around halfway through the video clip.It comes as Drake's rap verse comes to its conclusion and the track evolves into its instrumental phase.The message pops up then and reads “HER LOSS, ALBUM BY DRAKE AND 21 SAVAGE, OCTOBER 28, 2022.”Why not check out the video directly below:
