It was DiCaprio and Wahlberg second collaboration, following their work on The Basketball Diaries in 1995.

'The Boy,' directed by William Brent Bell and written by Stacey Menear, is a 2016 American horror film. Lauren Cohan and Rupert Evans feature in the picture. It is a joint venture between China and the United States. Filming began in Victoria, British Columbia, on March 10, 2015. The Boy was released in the United States on January 22 by STXfilms. On a $10 million budget, the film grossed $64 million worldwide. Brahms: The Boy II, a standalone sequel, was released on February 21, 2020.

‘Léon: The Professional’ is a 1994 English-language French action-thriller film written and directed by Luc Besson. It stars Jean Reno and Gary Oldman, and features the film debut of Natalie Portman. The plot follows Léon (Reno), a professional hitman, who reluctantly takes in twelve-year-old Mathilda (Portman) after her family is murdered by corrupt Drug Enforcement Administration agent Norman Stansfield (Oldman). Léon and Mathilda form an unusual relationship, as she becomes his protégée and learns the hitman's trade.

Avildsen and starring Morgan Freeman. It was written by Michael Schiffer and directed by John G. Avildsen. It is based on the true story of Joe Louis Clark, a real-life inner-city high school principal in Paterson, New Jersey, whose school faces state government receivership unless students improve their test scores on the New Jersey Minimum Basic Skills Test. The title of this film is a reference to the song of the same name by Bill Withers, which is featured in the film. Parts of the movie were shot in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, including the primary school scenes.
