
Beware of Hidden Sugars in Sugar-Free Products
Products labeled as 'sugar-free' may not always be as innocent as they appear. Dietitian Nazlı Aydın drew attention to the hidden sugar derivatives and additives that replace sugar in such products. Aydın stated, 'In order to understand if a product is truly healthy, we need to look at the ingredient list on the back of the package, not the front.' She even reminded us that dates, which are considered healthy, can be washed with glucose syrup during processing.
