A holiday warning has been issued by Prof. Dr. Canan Karatay. She emphasized that the body, which has been rested through fasting, should not be exhausted by consuming sugary and flour-based foods during Eid al-Fitr. Prof. Dr. Karatay also disclosed the three food items that should be avoided. She cautioned against the 'sweetest poisons' that can be found on holiday tables.
Canan Karatay characterized sugar as the 'sweetest poison'.

The month of Ramadan came to an end, with the first day of the festival taking place on Friday, March 20th. Throughout Ramadan, fasting essentially serves as a form of maintenance for the body, as pointed out by Prof. Dr. Canan Karatay, who also gave critical warnings. Karatay emphasized that cells are renewed during the fasting period and listed the potential pitfalls to be avoided at festival feasts.
Karatay advised maintaining a certain distance from traditional treats offered during the festival in order to protect the rested and renewed cells from the fasting period. The renowned professor, who refers to sugar as 'the sweetest poison', particularly highlighted the toxic effects of three main food groups in the body.
According to Canan Karatay, there are three foods that should be avoided.

Expressing that the body essentially 'resets' during Ramadan, Karatay states that the uncontrolled consumption of food during the holiday halts this process. Here are the three types of food to avoid according to Canan Karatay:
Carbonated drinks and beverages
Pastries made with white flour
Sweets with refined sugar
