We tend to think nature’s most dangerous hunters are always the biggest or strongest. But birds of prey can reach places no other animal can, making them far more formidable. They can swoop down onto balconies, rooftops, and even windows high above the ground, leaving their targets with nowhere to run especially out in the open.Footage filmed from the window of a high-rise apartment in India has gone viral on social media. It shows dozens of birds of prey swooping toward the window. Their astonishing boldness stems from a tradition that has been practiced in the country for years. In many parts of the world, local trains offer more than just a way to get around—they become scenic rides through landscapes filled with every shade of green. Standing on the step of an open train door and leaning out to take photos is a popular pastime among travelers, but it can also be extremely dangerous. Near tunnel entrances in particular, the gap between the train and the wall can be so narrow that a carefree moment can turn perilous in seconds.A traveler who goes by “tugba.civil” shared footage of herself leaning out of a moving train. As she rode through the greenery, the train suddenly approached a dark tunnel, and she narrowly escaped a serious accident. In the coffee trade, tasting coffee known as “cupping” is the standard way to assess its aroma, acidity, body, and balance of flavors. Ground coffee is placed in a cup, hot water is poured over it, and after a few minutes, the crust that forms on the surface is broken with a spoon. The coffee is then drawn off the spoon with an audible slurp, allowing its aroma to spread across the palate. Tasters usually spit it out rather than swallow, which lets them sample and compare dozens of cups in a row.The coffee taster “dineymartims” shared footage of themselves sampling dozens of cups lined up on a table and jotting down notes after each one. Their calm, focused manner at the tasting table left viewers mesmerized.

Public restrooms are one of those basic necessities we all rely on from time to time—whether we’re traveling, shopping, or spending a long day out. Amsterdam is known for its bicycles as much as its canals, and an estimated 12,000 to 15,000 bikes are pulled from the city’s waterways each year. First, shopping carts came up; then came some crabs and three bicycles.

For centuries, horses have been among the animals that work most closely with humans. The clips were captioned, “Every road I eagerly set out on ends like this.” They showed the horses galloping around her, kicking up clouds of dust, before a white horse bumped into her and knocked her to the ground. The moment left viewers both laughing and alarmed.

Although rugs are among the most frequently used items in our homes, their edges can start to curl over time or after they’ve been left folded or rolled up for a long while. Not only does this spoil the look of a room, but it can also create a tripping hazard, turning a minor annoyance into a problem that eventually leads people to replace the rug.A video shared on social media showed how ice cubes can help flatten a curled rug edge. A woman lined the edge with ice cubes, and as they melted, the curled section appeared to settle back into place. The simple trick caught the attention of others dealing with the same problem.
