However, it can also expose them to the relentless face of nature. Influenced by the trends of nature and extreme sports on social media, an increasing number of people are trying to find their place at the foot of colossal mountains like Everest every day. Yet, the high altitude and freezing cold can turn the quest for adventure into a life-or-death struggle at any moment.Images captured at the Everest Base Camp once again laid bare the fact that nature is no joking matter. Footage showing a massive avalanche breaking off from the enormous slopes in the background and rapidly advancing towards the camp area, even while watching, was enough to make hearts leap into mouths. The calmness of the mountaineers during those moments, meanwhile, garnered admiration.
