What is the Gorehabba festival?
The Gorehabba Festival takes place a few days after another famous festival in the country, Diwali, known as the festival of lights, cleanliness, and new beginnings. Following this, Gorehabba is celebrated. A grand ceremony is organized in the village square. During the festival, people collect fresh cow dung and throw it at each other, resulting in scenes that those unfamiliar with the culture find hard to understand.
