'Weapons' is slated to commence filming in mid-May in Atlanta, marking a collaboration between Garner, Brolin, and Cregger. Written by Cregger himself, the script for 'Weapons' remains shrouded in secrecy, described as an interconnected, multi-story horror epic reminiscent of the ensemble-driven tone of Paul Thomas Anderson's 1999 masterpiece, 'Magnolia.'
The Production Team
This project also marks a reunion for the production team behind 'Barbarian.' Alongside Cregger, Roy Lee of Vertigo, and J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules of BoulderLight Pictures are producing, with Vertigo's Miri Yoon also on board as a producer.
Garner's Career Trajectory
Garner rose to prominence with her Emmy-winning performance in Netflix's acclaimed crime drama 'Ozark.' Since then, she has been on a streak, securing prominent roles in major studio productions.
