The heist lasted for seven minutes.

The thieves were able to extract nine valuable artifacts from the museum in a heist that lasted only seven minutes. During their escape, they dropped a crown belonging to Empress Eugénie, causing it damage. In a statement following the robbery, it was reported that the total value of the stolen jewels was approximately 88 million euros. Paris Prosecutor Laure Beccuau stated that the thieves could only realize this amount if they were able to sell the pieces intact, as the value would significantly decrease if the jewels were melted down. She also mentioned that fingerprints left at the museum were being examined.
