He'll spend months preparing for roles and living as his characters. He'll study their accents, walk like them, talk like them, and even dress like them, all in an attempt to become someone else. It's called method acting--a dive so deep that each character's personality traits are said to meld with the actor's. It can get messy. Evan Peters has been very open about the effect it has had on his mental health. After playing Kai Anderson in 'Cult,' he was forced to take a two-year break, but that didn't stop him from taking on the lead role in 'Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.' He spent four months dressing the part, wearing those ridiculous glasses and custom-made shoes. Peters even wore lead weights on his arms in an attempt to mimic Dahmer's posture. He said it was the most difficult thing he's ever done, and he even admitted to having to rely on the crew for emotional support. But it was worth it. When the series premiered he had jaws dropping by the millions. The toll it's taken is visible. He's a shell of his former self with dirty, rust-red hair and a pallid complexion. It's amazing how much he's sacrificed for us, and Dahmer is just the tip of the iceberg. He's spent more than a decade showing off his skills on 'American Horror Story,' and he deserves recognition.

The psychological thriller film, Don't Worry Darling is heading to HBO Max almost two months after its cinematic release. The New Line Cinema and Warner Bros Pictures production present an ensemble stellar cast consisting of the pop singer Harry Styles, Florence Pugh, Olivia Wilde, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Nick Kroll, Dakota Johnson, Sydney Chandler, Douglas Smith, Kiki Layne, among others.

From the creators of the musical drama franchise Pitch Perfect comes the spin-off series Bumper in Berlin, starring Adam Devine as the titular character Bumper Allen. Devine’s character was the egotistical leader of the Barden University Acapella boy group Treblemakers in the first Pitch Perfect (2012). He later became a member of the Tone Hangers and Fat Amy’s short-term boyfriend in the 2015 sequel. Bumper is now teaming up with Das Sound Machine’s Pieter Krämer of Pitch Perfect 2, starring Flula Borg in the spin-off series Bumper in Berlin.

They used facial expressions, pauses between words, and camera tricks, and they created a fully immersive narrative--one that could almost convince us that we were in June's position, moving back and forth, staring up at the ceiling, while Fred performed the ceremony, confined to her room, slowly going mad. We felt every single thing she felt, and we absorbed every second of it, almost to the point where we couldn't take it anymore. Many fans had to leave the series behind, simply because it was too difficult to watch. They loved it, but walking in June's shoes was torture.During that torment, one thing kept her alive and sane: her daughter Hannah. June believed that if she could just find Hannah and rescue her, everything would be OK. She'd spend hours dreaming about their trip to the aquarium--jellyfish swimming through the water--and the morning they made pancakes with chocolate chips, and she held on to that, using it to get her through, even as she was enslaved, beaten, and violated. When the pain is just too much, all hope is lost and your world becomes tainted by something as horrific as Gilead, you need a reason to live. In an environment that strict, obedience has to be bearable, and Hannah made it bearable.
