The First Installment of ‘You’ Season 4 Will be Released This Week: Who are Joe’s New Prospects?
Netflix gets its viewers ready for the new identity of Penn Badgley's Joe Goldberg in fresh photographs from the upcoming episodes of the series, awaiting new settings and, possibly new victims, just days before the premiere of the pilot episodes of the fourth season of You.
Adapted from Caroline Kepnes's similar-titled novel series, the stalker television series, which stars Penn Badgley as the violent rare book enthusiast Joe Goldberg. Season 4 will debut on Netflix in two parts after they took up production after Lifetime cancelled the show after season 1. Both parts of season 4 will make their debuts on February 9 and March 9 respectively.
You Season 4 New Characters
While Joe has somewhat 'rebranded' himself as a college professor named Jonathan Moore, his 'afterschool activities' remain as sinister as ever. Joe will still be surrounded by Americans even though he is now in England, demonstrating how tiny the globe may seem to someone who travels in affluent circles like the one he is in.
Nadia
Jonathan's new university role features Amy-Leigh Hickman as Nadia, one of his devoted literary pupils.
Amy-Leigh tells Cosmopolitan UK that 'Jonathan is in a completely different setting, [which] puts him in a more vulnerable position. Nadia admires and looks up to him - their connection is pleasant and she isn't afraid to have a joke with him occasionally.'
Tracy Beaker Returns and EastEnders were the two shows where Amy made her acting debut. She watched every season of You in a matter of days because she is such a huge fan.
Kate
The Call the Midwife and Fresh Meat actress Charlotte Ritchie plays Kate, a cool-looking director of an art gallery. Kate stands out from the others because of her coldness, yet Jonathan could do a miracle.
Kate is fiercely independent and devoted, according to Charlotte, who also notes that she occasionally exhibits a vicious side.
“She is cautious and chilly compared to the other characters,” Charlotte continues. “She immediately labels him a suspect character because she has no faith in him at all. Unfortunately, that doesn't last.”
Lady Phoebe
Tilly Keeper from EastEnders portrays Lady Phoebe. Tilly summarized Phoebe's personality for Cosmopolitan UK by saying that she is 'an aristocratic socialite, born into a world of wealth, old money, and renown. A lonely creature seeking a meaningful connection.”
Adam
An affluent American expat who fell short of his family's lofty expectations. Lukas Gage, of The White Lotus and Euphoria, played Lady Phoebe's boyfriend.
In a nutshell, Lukas argues, 'You can't put Adam in a box. He's the only other American Joe can connect with, and they both have a lot of secrets. He's complicated and profoundly observant of others, which makes him somewhat tortured.”
Blessing
Newcomer Ozioma Whenu portrays a post-graduate Nigerian princess who trades cryptocurrencies.
When it comes to relationships, as Ozi puts it, 'Blessing aligns herself with individuals who make her more fascinating. Jonathan is an enigma, and she can't quite figure him out. She's captivated by his mystery and intelligence, but she can smell the lack of status a mile off.'
Final Words
You won't forget what Joe has gone through in past seasons, despite the fresh characters, setting, and plot. He'll be haunted by the harm he did back in Madre Linda as he struggles to control his stalker-like inclinations.
This will see the return of his previous stalker victim Marianne (Tati Gabrielle), although it is not yet known if his ex-lover Theo Engler (Dylan Arnold), who was last seen alive at the conclusion of You season 3, will also make a comeback.
